"A fascinating theory," says Katie, a junior in their sorority. "But not actually what happened."
"So what happened?" asks Miranda.
"Danneel was the golden girl going into junior year. She had everything--looks, brains, popularity, and she was dating Jensen Ackles."
"Jensen Ackles is gay," says Jennette. "His boyfriend is in my Chem class."
"Exactly," says Katie. "Junior year, Sophia transferred in, and Jensen started dating some freshman, totally breaking Danneel's heart."
"They were never actually dating," Genevieve points out. "I mean, they hung out all the time, but they were never boyfriend and girlfriend officially."
"They were practically engaged," says Katie dismissively. "Anyway, Sophia was kind of the Danneel of her school, and when she joined, she and Danneel became natural rivals. The sorority kind of split between her and Sophia, and it was decided the best way to prevent a civil war was to make both of them president."
"That does sound kind of like what I said," says Jennette.
"It's all bullshit," says Genevieve. "I don't think Jensen and Danneel have ever dated, and she and Sophia seem to get along fine."
"Epic rivalry," says Katie decisively. "No doubt."
