When You Care Enough to Hit Send Master Post

This is a 'verse with an unknown number of parts, because I am a hooker. I like to think each part pretty much stands on its own. It is the touching story of how Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles met in college and hooked up and then got together and found love! And e-cards.
Main characters: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles
Supporting Cast: Christian Kane, Steve Carlson, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Sandra McCoy, James Marsters

There are two orders the story can logically go in

One: Chronological order (in-story time--note that the links at the end of the fics do not follow this order.)

1. I Really Enjoyed Awkwardly Waving To You
Jared POV, hard R; takes place when Jared is a senior in high school and Jensen is a junior in college.
2. I'm Ready to Change My Facebook Relationship Status If You Are
Jensen POV, R; takes place when Jared is a freshman and Jensen is a senior.
3. TGIF, Motherfuckers
Jared POV, R; takes place when Jared is a freshman and Jensen is a senior.
4. I Have Faith That Our Relationship Can Make Our Relationship Problems Disappear
Jensen POV, R; takes place when Jared is a freshman and Jensen is a senior.
5. You're Cantankerous, Inappropriate, Self-Destructive, and Hopefully Single
Tom POV, R; takes place when Tom and Mike are seniors. Primary pairing Tom/Mike.
5a. If We Were Snow Monkeys, I'd Pick Dead Skin and Insects Off Your Fur Even If I Wasn't Looking to Mate
Mike POV, PG-13; Coda to "You're Cantankerous, Inappropriate, Self-Destructive, and Hopefully Single."
6. Son, It's Time to Discuss the Birds and the Bees and Fucking Girls
Jensen POV, R; takes place at the end of Jared's freshman year and Jensen's senior year, and during that summer.
6a. My Condolences on Losing Your Balls
Chad POV, R; takes place during Son, It's Time to Discuss the Birds and the Bees and Fucking Girls.
7. I Want to Grow Old and Disgusting With You
Jared POV, R; takes place at the end of the summer before Jared's sophomore year.
8. I'm Still Your Friend Even Though You Dumped One of Mine
Changing POV, R; takes place during Jared's sophomore year and Jensen's first year of grad school. Other pairings: Tom/Mike.
9. I'm In Love and Not Afraid to Annoy the Shit Out of Everyone
Jared POV, R; takes place during the summer before Jared's senior year and Jensen's third year of grad school.
10 (final part). I Can't Believe How Much I'm Not Sick of You
Jensen POV, R; takes place at the end of Jared's senior year and Jensen's third year of grad school. Other pairings: Tom/Mike.

11. Let's Go Shit On Our Coworkers In a More Informal Setting
Jared POV, PG-13; takes place after both Jared and Jensen have graduated.
12. Someday I Want to Adopt an Asian Baby With You
Jared POV, PG-13; takes place six years after graduation.

I'm kind of in love with this whole series- the way you write is so natural and full of things people I know would ACTUALLY say :P

i loved everything about this. college AU's have a special place in my heart and this was one of the best. such great dialog, and banter and it FEELS so them and i just adore how awkward and in love they are.

it makes me GLEEFUL. i know you said you probably wouldn't write any more (chronologically) after "I Can't Believe How Much I'm Not Sick of You," but i would ADORE it if you did. just so you're aware. :D

Just finished your College AU and I loved it. Sweet, schoompy Jared/Jensen; crazy, slutty Mike; Tom realizing his feelings and having to confide in someone, with a 50/50 chance of being laughed at; Tom dumping Mike for not cheating on him; and Chad (I don't think I even need to say more. His name says it all!) The best college 'verse/au I have read. Your brain is made of awesomsauce!

I have read the whole series this afternoon, and just recommended them to someone who is feeling down with the summary "(AU RPS, so really, FPS) - almost totally lacking in angst, and yet not too incredibly saccharine either." I don't mean either of those as faint praise. The characters are believably non-melodramatic/fratboyish and adorkable.

No idea why it took me so long to read this. Suffice it to say, that's what I did on and off for most of today, and several times had my family members asking me why I was laughing and squealing like a moron every two seconds.
I loved this 'verse and am so sad that it's over. Totally something to read again.
It also got me to check out someecards, which I have been aware of for some time, but had not, before today, visited. I definitely spent an hour reading hundreds of them and sending some to friends and family.
In short, you are awesome, and this thing kept me from just recording podfic all day, which is what I had been planning on doing before I got sucked in to this.
I'm gonna stop now.

Okay, so I had no idea there was more to this 'verse after the first two fics, and when I found out there was, I got ridiculously excited and read ALL OF THEM IN ONE SITTING, which was probably a bad idea because it's after 1:00 am now and I have a job interview in eight hours.

But it was TOTALLY WORTH IT because this 'verse is awesome and hilarious. Out of all the college!AUs I've read, this is by far my favorite. You've created such a cogent, delightful, personable cast of characters, and you make it absolutely impossible not to fall in love with all of them.

I vote for MORE FIC. But not until after my interview.

OH ALSO: I love that you worked in Jared's transition from skinny jailbait to hulking manbeast. I always have trouble visualizing that in fic that spans long periods of time, but you made it quite clear.

Okay, I am soo late to the party here. But I just wanted to add my heartfelt appreciation here. I listened to TGIF, Motherfuckers as a podfic this weekend and loved it. I did not know it was part of a lovely, lovely 'verse until just now, so yay!! Now I have a whole lot more to read and to listen to, as I gather the one and only juice817 has recorded more.

So. I’m still sort of new to the whole RPS side of this fandom. And I’m still learning about the kind of fics that I enjoy here, but, you know, OMG I cannot stop rereading this! Jared is so funny and sweet and Jensen is so adorable that I feel like I could hug them hard enough to hurt them.

Everything about this made me squee. So, hum, thanks. :D

I love this story so much. It made me want to relive college, made me want to fall in love, and did inspire me to send my ex both a really long email, and an ecard. :-)

Beautiful story. And I loved that it wasn't about Jared and Jensen breaking up over and over again--but about them being not just 'in love,' but really, truly, caring for each other.

Loved it.

I'm kind of addicted to this 'verse. Sharp, smart, witty dialogue makes this a stand out series. The image of a drag Welling-Rosenbaum wedding is forever burned into my consciousness. But in a good way.

I'm pretty sure I'd read some of these before, but I just went through the entire list of stories yesterday and was delighted. So much fun. So many funny moments. Chad that I could love! Tom/Mike that cracked me up. And, of course, Jared and Jensen all schmoopy and in love which is always nice.

OH wow, I really loved this :)

I almost never read fics that have established relationship through most of the fic, because for some reason I lost interest after they finally get together and then just picture the happily ever after.

But for some reason I stuck with this one. Probably because it was so real. I mean, it was happy fic without being unrealistic. And because the start of their relatioship wasn't one of those "agonizing, pining, happens over 30k words" type of ones I usually like to read, so reading about the actual relationship and its developmet didn't seem so anti-climatic as it would in those other fics. So yeah, in short: I LOVED IT :)

Oh and I totally loved the Mike/Tom parts too, even though I only ever read them as sideline characters before, and I'm not even in the Smallville fandom (although I remember that during the very first season of Smallville, when I was like 13, I thought Mike was hot x).

wow! i am ashamed that i havent commented before now. i just started reading these tonight and havent stopped, and here it is 5 am and i just finished! but, i did LOVE this. you are hilarious, your writing made me lol here lots of times, and want to call someone and read the funny parts to them! so, i will be rec'ing this immediately to my bff, so we can laugh together!! i hated for this to end. i loved the voices of both boys, as well as all the other characters, esp mike/tom!! so, just wanted to say thank you thank you...this was lovely and fun and wonderful! \o/ epic win-----go you!!! =}
