My godparents are going on vacation to Ocean City this week which means I'll be over there house dog sitting 2 adorable but little yappy Yorkies. The upside they have high channels and a wii, downside they didn't open their pool even though I wouldn't go in it anyways since they have central air that for some reason gives me a headache.

cleflink: Five Times Jared Wasn't the Loudest Guy in the Room?
1. She's loud. That's all Jared can glean from his baby sister's yelling. Mama is trying to sing to her but Meggie is LOUD and it's hurting his ears. He peers over the crib, standing in tippy toes, and sees her red face. He holds a finger out to gently stroke her cheek and pat her hair, he always likes it when Mama does it to him, and Meggie slowly calms down. Finally, he can watch TV properly!
2. Chad Michael Murray is how he introduced himself. Chad Douchebag Murray is how he seems, really. He's funny, though, and says the dumbest things, but it makes Jared laugh. He seems less like a douchebag and more like a guy who isn't afraid of what others think, and Jared can dig that.
3. He's drunk. That's the only explanation Jared has of Jensen yelling loudly about 'blast ended skrewts' and how it'd be so cool to have magic in the show. Jensen wonders if this embarrassment is what Jensen feels on a daily basis with Jared.
4. "Fuuuuck" Jensen moans as Jared rocks his hips up to meet Jensen's. He feels full and perfect, Jensen muttering filth and moaning into his ear. Jared always tends to quiet down during sex, just breathy sighs and whimpers of want, but Jensen finds his outlet apparently, cursing and yelling, and gasping. Jared prefers it that way.
5. He's tiny and adorable and perfect and sure has a healthy set of lungs. Jared looks down at his baby boy, Jensen cooing at him at his side. He's kicking and creaming and Jared doesn't know if he's meant to be a parent of he can't calm down his own child. He changes his hold a little bit, holds his son a little tighter, and suddenly the room is silent. Maybe he can do this after all.

dolnmoon: the five things Jensen Ackles is going to love about being a father to his little girl.
1. teaching her baseball and football and basketball. He wants his girl to know these things so nobody says you throw like a girl to her. She's going to prove to everyone that girls may throw just as good, if not better, than the boys
2. teaching her sarcasm and how to fight so she's never put in a position she can't get out of and being all sassy is going to be her trademark. She is his kid after all
3. As much as he denies it, he's going to love all the girly things - the pink, the princesses, the jewelry, he's going to love every moment, and even if she's not into that stuff? He's going to love it all.
4. Making forts with her and having tea parties in them. He's not going to let his girl be JUST a girl and make it all stereotypical - she's going to like everything so nobody can tell her that she doesn't know anything. His kid will have it ALL.
5. Being her hero. He's going to do his best to be someone that she can look up to, go home to, talk to. He's going to do whatever it takes to make sure his little girl is loved and knows that he will always be there for her.

Hi there!!!!! At work it's very early ;)

Sam is with....

So normally I would start this post with an apology about not having been around lately but I generally lurk too much for anyone to be able to tell. However, while it may not have been noticeable, I have indeed not been around for the past couple of weeks for the following reasons:
But property acquisition has been successful and I will soon level up in adulthood as an actual owner of property! It may just be a small unit instead of a house but it is quite lovely and will soon be all mine :D However, this will likely have no affect on my ratio of posting and commenting. Alas :(
I did learn the following while packing though:
However, this whole shenanigan has meant that I have not yet watched the Supernatural finale. Nor the last couple of eps in fact. I have seen numerous gifs of brotherly angst on Tumblr (there is hugging, right? I have seen hugging!) but it is everything else I am worried about not liking :(
But I did manage to sign up to both
spn_j2_bigbang and
paperlegends. Priorities, I haz them!

- My roommates and I were suddenly evicted without warning
- Hurriedly trying to pack up all our stuff due to the short notice given
- Being overcome with rage at being told a week later that our tenancy was being reviewed and we could possibly stay anyway but maybe not and argh
- Saying to hell with it and proceeding with initial plan of buying my own place so I can live alone, albeit a year earlier than I had planned

I did learn the following while packing though:
- I have a lot of books *ow my arms*
- I wrote a lot of fanfic back in the day. Thankfully most of it unpublished since I did spy at least one self insert Mary Sue fic
- I really really really hate packing

So some stuff I meant to say the other day.
1. I spent a weekend in Barcelona. This is noteable for the fact that I actually got to see some sunshine (and drink some sparkling wine while sitting in it, obviously), but most importantly, I got to see my Barcelona boyfriends play! Sadly, they did not win the league then, but they were awesome, and Messi played. It was all very cool.
2. I haven't seen any Dr Who since Christmas. Mostly this is because I do not like the new companion woman all that much. It started out as the perfectly reasonable view that she was not Amy, and therefore terrible. Then it turned out I found her unspeakably smug. Online reviews do not suggest I am particularly wrong about this assessment, but you guys are almost certainly smarter than actual critics. Is it worth catching up with? My RL friends seem pretty mixed about it.
3. I am going skydiving! Have I mentioned this before? If I haven't, that was very stupid of me, because I am hugely excited. Not only will there be jumping out of planes, but I have also been promised a motorbike ride to get there. My mother is...less than thrilled by these developments. If anything terrible happens, I would like fandom to mourn me for at least a week. Someone make sure to organise that, please.
4. It seems to me that whether you enjoyed the S8 SPN finale depends very much on whether you want Sam and Dean to grow and be less codependent and crazy, or whether unhealthy craziness from them is all you want in life.
As I told
mollyamory yesterday, I have begun daily conversations with her for the past 7 years by saying things like, "Do you think they're getting too healthy? I totally think they might be getting too healthy!" It is therefore perhaps not unsurprising that the finale has caused joy for me the like of which mere words cannot explain.
Suffice to say that I've stopped saying Jeremy fucking Carver in tones of disgust and outrage, and now say it in tones of awe and wonder. I expect this will last until the first ep of S9, but whatever. For the moment, I am so unexpectedly pleased.
And now I must go and socialise with family members. Always the people. Ruining things.

I have been trying all week to make an entry and it just Was. Not. Happening! So, I'm determined today, even though I have to leave in nine minutes.
First! I am super bummed about SPN moving to Tuesday nights. Starting September 1, I'll be working the late shift every Tuesday night, which sucks all on it's own, but also now will ruin my SPN watching. My inner fangirl is unamused!
Second! Not only have I not posted this week, I've also have been pants about commenting. I read, but don't comment. This is unacceptable, and I vow to do better next week. Commenting is our goal, ok y'all?
Third! Max is doing so good right now. *knocks on wood* He's sleeping pretty good -- Xanax has been his miracle drug. He has energy, we take short walks every night, and his eating is picking up some (though still slow.) All positive things.
Fourth! I found a couch I like for my downstairs living room! Mom thinks I need to look at least one or two more places before buying, and I'm ok with that. But excited that I found a strong possibility.
Fifth! Working on Sunday never gets any less... "But it's Sunday!" so I asked all my co-workers to go get breakfast with me before work today. If I have to get dressed, there might as well be pancakes, right? This is a hard group to make bond, so I'm not sure what will happen, but I know there will be at least three of us there, so that will be fun. Also? Pancakes!

Title: Backwards Traveller
Rating: Eventual NC-17, this chapter PG-13
Pairing: John/Paul
Authors:
tini_91 and
obstinatrix
Summary/Notes: New York in the late 70s feels like a world away from Europe almost two decades earlier, but when John settles down to write some more of his short 'fiction', he finds that, frankly, he misses Paris. This is 1961, in retrospective. We were also quite inspired by this clip, where John talks about being inspired by the romance of Paris.

PEOPLE! FLIST! You have failed me! Why, oh, why didn't anyone tell me that Big Finish - the audiobook company that's producing audio dramas for shows like Doctor Who, Stargate etc. - brought us this GEM! Season 2 of The Highlander audio books - the first one was narrated by Adrian Paul himself - and it's called "The Four Horsemen": link. THE FOUR HORSEMEN, people, it's the secret frickin' history of Methos, Kronos, Silas and Caspian! And it's narrated by the actors who played them, Peter Wingfield, Valentine Pelka etc. The FRICKIN' four horsemen! *ROTF*
Synopsis:
For centuries, they battled the forces of light, murdering, pillaging and terrorising their way across the globe. Then, through the betrayal of one of their number, the Four Horsemen rode no longer. But before their ultimate end, each was the target of a very personal vendetta striking to the core of the Horsemen's seemingly unbreakable bond. Now the secret history of Kronos, Silas, Caspian and Methos can finally be revealed...
Contains four stories:
2.1 Brothers
2.2 All the King's Horses
2.3 The Pain Eater
2.4 The Promise
FLIST! IT'S METHOS AND KRONOS! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Ehm, as you might have noticed, I'm a tad excited! \o/
